Inquiry Questions:
- How do specific words help reader visualize a scene?
- How does understanding the author's word choice contribute to imagery?
Standard: Writing and Composition
- Writers use descriptive language to create mental pictures for the reader.
- Writers use a range of poetic techniques (alliteration, onomatopoeia, rhyme scheme, simile, metaphor, personification and imagery.
